Findus Environmental Policy

Findus is aware of the business dependence on a sound environment. It is essential for us to show due respect for nature and to contribute to sustainable development wherever we are involved.

Findus has demonstrated over the years its commitment in caring for the environment. Throughout the complete food chain, from ingredients to final consumption of the finished product we endeavour to promote sustainable development.

• Findus is committed to continue to implement Findus Low Input Sustainable Agriculture for all our vegetables. We will continuously work to improve this system with the aim to reduce the environmental impact on nature. This is a never-ending process and is detailed in the Findus Vegetable Policy.
• Findus strives to only use fish that comes from sustainable sources as detailed in the Findus Fish Policy.
• Findus strives to make products of right quality using minimal resources and is committed to focus specifically on an efficient use of water, energy, ingredients and packaging materials.
• Findus works actively to reduce the amount of waste and further develop reductions at source wherever we can in such areas as manufacturing and distribution.
• Findus is committed to comply with all environmental regulations, legislation and approved codes of practice relating to all its processes and activities.
• Findus suppliers play an important role in the environmental work. Findus Environmental Policy must be understood and appropriately followed by all our suppliers.
